About the Programme

Pathways into Property is an 8-week hybrid training and mentoring programme helping unemployed and under-employed residents gain the confidence, skills, and connections to step into flexible work within the property sector.

Over the course of the programme, participants:

  • Attend two in-person workshops (Weeks 1 & 8)
  • Join six online sessions in between (2 hours each)
  • Work in small, focused groups of 12 participants
  • Receive a Certificate of Achievement
  • Connect directly with local property professionals – estate agents, letting agents, and accountants

“No previous experience or qualifications are needed – just a willingness to learn, grow, and take part.”

For Councils, Communities & Partners

Pathways into Property is currently funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) in partnership with Tendring District Council.
It’s a flexible, outcomes-driven model that can be replicated across the UK, tailored to meet local employment, housing, and skills priorities.

Why it works:

  • Aligns with national and local priorities: employability, enterprise, and upskilling
  • Focuses on residents aged 18–65, including those long-term unemployed
  • Delivers measurable results: participants progress into work, self-employment, or further training
  • Builds local business links and strengthens economic inclusion
  • Combines in-person and online learning for accessibility and reach
  • Improves wellbeing and confidence through mentoring and achievement
  • Creates community pride, as participants can actively support their own borough’s property ecosystem

This programme transforms local potential into opportunity, one community at a time.
